3cupsBlackberriesFresh, frozen, or canned
2sticksUnsalted butter or 1 cup
2 cups Sugar
4 cupsSourdough starter or sourdough discard
2tspBaking powder
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F. Prep your berries, wash and dry them if needed. You can line the bottom of your baking dish with parchment paper but it is optional. Add the blackberries to the bottom of your 9x13 dish.
In a pot add the butter and over low to medium heat melt the butter. You could also use a microwave-safe bowl and melt it in the microwave.
In the pot or bowl with the melted butter add the sugar, baking powder, and sourdough starter. Mix until thoroughly combined.
Pour the cobbler mixture over the blackberries in your 9x13 dish. Place in your preheated oven and bake for 60 minutes or until the cobber no longer looks liquidy and the top is golden brown. Allow to cool at least 15 minutes before serving.
