What if I don’t know where to start?

The first thing to do is gather inspiration. I like to use Pinterest. I find it super helpful to create a board dedicated to the room I am remodeling and pin any inspiration to it so I can easily refer back to it. Once you have inspiration and an idea of what you want your new kitchen to look like break it down. Think of each little detail you will need to do to achieve that look and jot each task down. Make each task as big or as small as you want.

What is the difference between a kitchen remodel and kitchen renovation?

A kitchen remodel is when you change the room’s floor plan or an entire room. If a room used to be a living room and you are transforming it into a kitchen that would be a remodel. Or if you are changing the placement of appliances and the kitchen’s overall layout, that would be considered a remodel. A kitchen renovation is keeping the overall layout and floor plan the same but you are improving the space. This can be done by updating appliances, installing new flooring, and changing paint colors. Basically, the difference is the amount of overall work and change you will be making to the kitchen.
